From the Piazza di Pecetto take the asphalt road which leads to the chairlift departure point (1360 m). Follow the road, which in winter is a cross-country skiing track, which winds through a wood of larch trees and reaches the Burki Alps (1613 m), where you will find refreshment and agritourism.
Continue on the left of the intermediate chairlift station, climbing the bends in the conifer forest until you pass under the chairlift cableway. You then come out onto a small clearing where the shelter of the Cai Saronno stands; the footpath leaves on the left to follow the last spurt to Belvedere, or Wengald (1914 m), where you will find two restaurants. Belvedere can also be reached by chairlift.

On arrival by chairlift, turn left and you will arrive at the nearby glacier of the Rosa, which you can then cross in the direction of the moraine opposite. There you can take an easily negotiable footpath, first over the crest, then onto the halfway up the hill. Crossing a stream which flows into wide plain, you arrive at the Pedriola Alps.
Just above are the mountain huts and pastures and the Zamboni – Zappa (2070 m) Shelter.
